Hello! I am Daniella Sinclaire, and I thank you for visiting my website! I am an amateur writer creating projects like essays, short stories, and novellas. Writing is an artistic passion for me, and I write about a wide variety of subjects. I love art in all its forms.
An update:
It's been a while since I've done anything here, huh? It's been well over a year since I posted my last work, which was a (now partially outdated) essay about the Trump administration and the meaning of fascism. This extended leave hasn't been from any lack of passion, mind you. I have been writing since that last essay, just not projects that I would post on this website. I've written short films, movies, and plays, all of which I can't really post here for a wide variety of reasons that you can probably understand intuitively.
However, the biggest writing project that has been taking up my time over the past year has ben my novel, which I started writing almost three and a half years ago. It wasn't my first attempt at writing a novel, but it was certainly my best one, and after so much time working on it, the first draft is complete. That means the bulk of the work is complete. Now, the work that remains is just the editing process– reading and rereading it myself to see if I catch any errors, and, most importantly, getting test readers who can see if it all makes sense from the perspective of someone not as familiar with the work as I am.
Ideally, this process should only take a couple months. In practice, it might be a bit more complicated than that. Obviously, having it test read requires me to actually have people willing to test read it, which probably won't be as easy as I would like. Once the editing process is complete, however, all that's left is the publishing, because unlike all my other written works, my novel is not going to be free and publicly accessible. I'm not even entirely sure I want the things on this website to be free, so the novel definitely won't be. My hope is to publish it in a way that allows me to maintain copyright and creative control over the novel, while also being able to have physical, printed copies of the book made. That's a logistical hurdle I'll have to solve on my own in time.
The main important things for you to take home are these: I will be releasing a novel sometime in the near future, and I need test readers. These test readers need to be experienced readers who are willing to thoroughly read the novel in a fairly swift manner of time, ideally a couple of weeks at most. They also need to be willing to take notes on their thoughts and impressions as they read through it. They need to be okay with reading a novel that has been mostly edited, but not guaranteed to be the same as what will be released come time for publishing. Also, obviously, they cannot go blabbing to people about what's in the book. If you think you can do all that, and are willing to be a test reader (I might be willing to toss a couple bucks your way for your time) then please send me an email.
I hope I can share this passion project of mine with you soon!
If you would like to contact me, feel free to send me an email. I also have social medias where I will be posting updates on my future projects. I have also provided my PayPal, and my editor's Venmo. All of my work is free to read, but we truly appreciate tips, no matter how small.
